Did you hear anything about "further democracy"?

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, PM of Turkey, characterize his new era at power with "further democracy". It means that there were some supressive features in Turkish democracy but he had defeated them with struggle of people with military tutelage.

You could hear more discourse on "further democracy" like these. But there are some other thing that you couldn't learn from mass media.

Last proof of that there is no progress for Turkey's democracy came from second republics supression to revolutionary movement. A member of The Communist Party of Turkey has been arrested because of joining a mass protest of death of Metin Lokumcu during a protest. There are tens of people in jail because of Hopa case.

What do you know about Turkey?

Is Turkey only a dependent capitalist country? But some observers stress that Turkey becoming an imperialistic power and Turkey's new foreign relation strategy show it up.

Ofcourse, as a communist, i aware the role of Turkey for USA imperialism especially for Middle East and North Africa. But there had been  transformation of Turkey as whole.  

Beyond the discussions like these, i have to say that "first republic", which was found in 1923, has collapsed with 2011 election of Turkey. After then there is a new one: "Second Republic". But it does not mean the newer is the better. 

Second Republic is a more dependent, more conservative and more public enemy republic. 

Because of these, we should research on the characteristics of Second Republic. I think foreign relations could give more information  on Turkey's new era to us.
